Are Jarrette Jones and Iyanna Mcneely Still Together? Discover Their Relationship

Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones, a former couple on Love is Blind, are proceeding with their legal separation. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, McNeely filed for divorce from Jones through the Cook County Circuit Court on September 23. McNeely, age 28, has retained Amanda Oliver, an attorney from Chicago, to represent her in the case, whereas Jones, age 28, has elected to represent himself. According to E! Jones responded to PEOPLE with the following statement: “As most are aware, Iyanna and I have decided to part ways. In doing so, we remain committed to our decision to file for divorce. I will continue to wish Iyanna success and happiness in all future endeavors. I am grateful for everyone’s continued support and I ask for your understanding during this difficult time.”

McNeely and Jones’ love story was featured in the second season of the Netflix hit. Alongside Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, they were one of two couples to marry in the series finale.

In August, the couple announced their intention to divorce. Shortly before Ruhl, 29, and Thompson, 36, announced their decision to separate after one year of marriage, the divorce was made public.

McNeely and Jones released a joint statement stating, “After much thought, we regret to announce that we have separated and will begin the divorce process.” Even though we love each other, our lives are taking different paths, and that’s okay. McNeely and Jones acknowledged that although “reaching this decision was not simple,” they will “always wish each other the very best.”

“We ask for your privacy as we finish this chapter of our lives,” they continued. “Thank you to our close friends and family for loving us through this difficult time. Thank you, Netflix and the Love Is Blind family, for this incredible opportunity and support. Each of you has brought immeasurable love and happiness into our lives.”

The conclusion of their statement was, “This experience has taught us a great deal about ourselves, vulnerability, and love. We have not a single regret!”

McNeely recently discussed how the show ultimately affected their marriage, particularly as the September special Love Is Blind: After the Altar approached.

On the Diary of an Empath podcast last month, she stated, “Every time something like the season premiere or After the Altar is released, there is always the knowledge that the stability of our marriage will once again be in the spotlight.”

She continued, “So with Jarrett and I going through the troubles that we were, even recently, before we decided to separate, it was just heavy on my mind again, we’re going to have to explain ourselves and relive everything that was shown on television.” It was more of a drive to make a definitive decision, whether this would work or not. A year has passed, and we continue to face the same concerns.

Yes! Even though Iyanna and Jarrette had a difficult path to the altar and left viewers with many unresolved questions about the security of their relationship, they both said “I do” on the February 25 season two finale of Love Is Blind.

Initially in Mexico, Iyanna and Jarrette had a terrific time. They appeared to get along well and to be in love. Jarrette had no problem with Iyanna’s decision to postpone sexual activity until after their wedding.

After Jarrette actually met Mallory face-to-face, though, the situation seemed a bit odd. And it was clear they still had feelings for each other. Mallory recurred as a problem for these two throughout the season, which is reasonable.

Despite their rough beginning, these two wed in a lovely ceremony on television.
